Spicy Blackberry Sangria

Spicy Blackberry Sangria
By Leandra Witchwood, The Magick Kitchen

You will love to sip and share this beverage.  I make this sangria during Mabon and have it around up until Samhain. You can control the spice of this beverage with how much of the pepper up put in. On a chilly autumn night this is a great beverage for warming you completely.

As I mentioned in my Mabon post, Blackberries and wine are essential elements for this celebration. I like to serve this with a simple cheese, fruit, and bread platter.

Serves: 6-8
Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:
1 bottle
Blackberry Wine
2C
Blackberries, ½ juiced, ½ whole
2C
Black Grapes, ½ juiced, ½ sliced in half
4
Black Plums, 3 juices, and 1 cut into 8 wedges
½ C
Brandy
1
Whole Cayenne Pepper, trimmed
1/2tsp
Dry Cayenne pepper, or less if you prefer

Instructions:

Combine all the ingredients, and allow to sit for 2 hours. This will allow the flavors to meld together. If you wish you can strain this beverage to give it more clarity. Serve with whole and cut fruit as a garnish.
