Black Apple Mojito
By Leandra Witchwood, The Magick Kitchen
It’s
just so good!
I
love… no I LOVE Mojitos and I was playing around with different recipe variations the
other night when I created this gem!
It is a spin on non-traditional Mojito recipes found just about everywhere. The apple adds its
own sweetness while the berries make this drink dark and delicious.

Time:
about 10 minutes

Small

Fresh
Mint Leaves
|
1ounce

Lime
Juice, fresh squeezed

fresh
Apple Cider or fresh Juiced Apple
|

Light
Rum
|
Ice

Ginger
Ale (optional)

Instructions:
I 1. In a cocktail shaker, add rum, berries, and mint. Muddle with a wooden spoon or a muddler if you have one. The idea is to crush
the mint and berries so they release their juice and flavor.
2. Add lime juice, ice, apple juice and shake well
Strain out the large pieces of ice and fruit or pour everything into a tall glass and ENJOY!!!
3. Garnish with berries and mint leaves if you like.

Notes: I used fresh juiced
apples which I think tastes best. I just spun them in my juicer, it took me 2
minutes. Also, I barely used any ginger ale. You will find that you really don’t
need it. Please take caution with this drink. It sneaks up on you. Please enjoy
responsibly.
